Annual General Meeting: TC Weibern draws a positive conclusion and remains on a successful course
What a year! TC Weibern can look back on a season full of sporting highlights, wonderful moments of camaraderie, and strong prospects for the future. This year's annual general meeting made it clear: the club is not only on solid footing in terms of its sporting performance, but also organizationally and financially.
Sportingly on a record course:
The 2024 season was the most successful in the club's history – with three teams promoted in the league and a very special highlight: Our Men's 65 team secured the Rhineland Championship title with a commanding performance! The other four teams also performed well and achieved their season goals – not a single relegation, but plenty of team spirit and enjoyment of the game.
Full program, full house:
Our events were once again true highlights: the Konrad Cup, the men's doubles tournament, and the popular family day were enthusiastically received by our members and active participants. The excellent organization under the experienced leadership of Franz Nett, Norbert Bell, and Tobi ensured that everything ran smoothly and that everyone had a great time. This is what club life is all about – thank you so much!
Youth in focus – tackling the task together:
One issue remains important to us: the development of young talent. Although interest in free youth training has been rather subdued so far, we are optimistic about the future: In close cooperation with the schools in the region, we want to provide new impetus and inspire young talents for our wonderful sport.
Finances? Going well!
Our treasurer also had good news to report: The financial situation is stable, important repairs can be carried out immediately – a strong basis for the coming years.
Fresh impetus and proven strength in the board:
At the regularly scheduled elections, Franz Nett was re-elected as Chairman with the full support of the members – a clear sign of trust and continuity. Jana Nett brings fresh energy to the team as the new Secretary, succeeding Martina Becker – many thanks for your dedication, Martina!
